“Once in a lifetime, you will get to meet someone that will change the way you look at the world; like a breath of fresh air, that said person will provide a new outlook and hope for humanity. However, when that said person is your therapist, it really does seem like a blessing. Those times when your deepest and darkest thoughts manifest themselves right in front of you, your therapist is your knight in shining armor. They protect you from your worst fears- yourself. That being said, Sumi Hong is my therapist, my knight, and my hero. She is the perfect representation of warmth and the epitome of genuine kindness. Her counseling methods trump even the most elaborate and intricate of plans because they are fueled by her authenticity. The tasks she encourages her clients to complete are straightforward and easy-to-follow while the intimate conversations are compound. Her way of comforting and advising are a complete nexus of thoughts and feelings wrapped up in a pretty, little bow handed to her clients- a true adventure into your own mind led by Ms. Hong. She is not only unique because of her methods. Where she truly shines is how she embodies a presence that is so caring and generous that it makes you want to become a better version of yourself.
