My Story
I am a licensed master social worker(LMSW) with specialized training in mental health. I have various experiences as a clinician working with people with serious mental illness(SMI) to Co-occurring disorders. I also have experience with people with mood disorders and personality disorders. My clinical and research interests are 1) how culture plays a role
in one’s life, 2) how to reconstruct relationships through reconstructing one’s unresolved trauma, and 3) strengthen one’s resilience to cope with life difficulties.
20대에 한국에서 일본으로 건너가 5년간 직장생활을 하다 20대 후반부터 정신건강에 관심을 갖게되어 미국으로 그동안 모은 돈으로 겁없이 유학을 왔던때가 엊그제 같은데 이제는 누군가를 도울수 있는 자리에까지 감사히도 오게되었습니다. 그동안 이민자로서 또 치열하게 살아온 젊은 한국인으로서, 이제는 엄마로서 더 많은 인생 경험과 그 동안 쌓아온 임상 경험을 통해서 여러분을 돕고자 합니다. 조현병이나 양극성 장애(aka 조울증) 같은 심각한 정신질환부터 우울이나 공황장애같은 일상에서 흔히
겪을수 있는 질환까지 폭 넓게 상담 가능합니다. 인간관계의 어려움,결혼생활의 문제 등 다양한 삶의 문제들도 같이 고민해 드립니다.
