I value diversity and multiculturalism in my clinical practice. I provide short-term and long-term therapy, and offer both in-person and Tele Mental health service by using HIPPA compliant video as well as providing therapy in both with Korean and English languages. My therapeutic approach is with traditional and evidence-based therapies.

My Story
I was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, and my passion for advancing academic study led me to move to the USA and to continue to pursue academic and clinical work in psychology field
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in State of Georgia and hold a psychologist license from State of Illinois and State of Ohio. I am an assistant professor of psychology specializing with clinical pathology and treatment at Georgia Gwinnett College. I earned my Ph. D. degree from a counseling and psychology collaborated program and have provided a clinical practice working with individuals, couples, and families over last 10 years.
I earned an M.A. in counseling from the University of Illinois and obtained a Ph.D. from the counseling and psychology collaborate program at the University of Akron, Ohio.
I specialize in multiculturalism, diversity, women and gender roles, and identity conflict among adolescents. I have a commitment to promote multicultural perspectives and strongly values the diversity and the unique perspectives in my teachings. I also have worked as a clinical psychologist at various settings including university counseling centers, community mental health and private practice. I have published articles on cross-cultural and women’s issues in psychology in international journals, and presented topics related to cultural psychology at local and national conferences.
